From trust to growth: How Nemlia and the Evangelische Heimstiftung are rethinking care
What happens when innovation in care is not just promised, but truly lived in everyday practice?
What began as a pilot project in a single facility is now evolving into a scalable approach for modern care: together with the Evangelische Heimstiftung (EHS), Nemlia is expanding the collaboration to five additional facilities. Today, care institutions face enormous challenges: increasing care demand, limited staffing resources, and high requirements for safety and quality.
In daily operations, especially during night shifts, there is often a lack of visibility to identify risks early on. The key question is: how can care become safer, more efficient, and more humane at the same time?

The answer lies in a shift in perspective, away from reactive systems and toward proactive, preventive care. Together with EHS, Nemlia relies on a sensor-based solution that detects risks early, supports caregivers in a targeted way, and operates entirely without cameras or microphones.
The experience from the collaboration so far clearly shows:
- Greater safety for residents
- Fewer reactive stress situations
- Noticeable relief for caregivers
- More time for genuine care
Digital assistance systems can provide support exactly where caregivers are currently under the most strain, not by adding extra workload, but by offering better visibility and early alerts. With the expansion to five additional facilities, the collaboration is entering its next phase.
Particularly important: the implementation will be accompanied by scientific research, with a focus on fall prevention and dementia.
The goal is to systematically measure the actual added value and make it transferable to other facilities in the long term. The success of this development shows that sustainable innovation in care does not emerge in the lab, but through close collaboration with real-world practice.
The expansion of the partnership is therefore more than just a rollout: it is a sign of trust and a shared step toward the future of care.
